The Ukrainian competition among service centers of diagnostic and garage equipment of Bosch – BTS (Bosch Test Equipment Service) – was held at Bosch Academy, created on the basis of Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University. The main aim of the event was not only to define the best specialists, but to support the atmosphere of trust and practice of assistance among the participants of BTS network. Seven service centers took part in the competition, and as a result the best company was defined for each workplace, as well as three best companies in the overall standings. The first place was taken by the company «PMS 2» (Kyiv), the second one – «M-Diesel» (Lviv), the third – «Garant-Autotechnik-2» (Kyiv).

The competition’s program included an online testing on diesel, as well as practical tasks on diagnostics (on the basis of FSA/KTS equipment), wheel alignment (FWA4455), head lamp light check (HTD 815), inspection line (SDL), gas analysis (BEA) and air condition service (ACS/SMT). The participants were required not only to have knowledge of standard technologies of alignment and maintenance, but the ability to work with previously unknown equipment, unknown procedures of calibration/alignment and new software.

Volodymyr Mihashko, Sales Manager of the Department of Diagnostics and Garage Equipment of Bosch in Ukraine, has commented the results of the competition: “Bosch equipment can operate without fails during a long period of time in case of proper service maintenance. Our clients should have guaranties that their purchases – diagnostic line or automatic air conditioning service unit – are in safe keeping. Thus, the dead time of equipment means the unsatisfied clients and money loss for the workshops. Such competitions among service centers do not only keep up the level of specialists of our partners. The improvement of car service equipment, following the progress at the car industry, inevitably requires new knowledge and competences from the specialists on maintenance. This year such particular task was simulated at the competition for the first time. We are pleased by the level of knowledge, demonstrating by the participants, and hope, that specialists will show such creative approach to solve uncommon tasks during the daily work, if necessary.”
